Choosing the right airport depends on your starting location, flight availability, and transportation preferences. The following three are well-connected to Midtown Manhattan and work for different traveler needs.

Location: Also situated in Queens, approximately 16 miles from Midtown Manhattan.
Transportation Options:
- AirTrain/Subway: Connects to the subway (A, E, or J lines) or the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), providing efficient access to Midtown.
- Taxis/Rideshares: Readily available with flat-rate taxi service to Manhattan.
- Express Buses: Direct routes to various parts of the city.
Travel Time: 40–60 minutes, depending on traffic and transit mode.
Located in New Jersey, approximately 16 miles southwest of Midtown Manhattan.
Transportation Options:
- Train: The AirTrain connects to NJ Transit and Amtrak, providing service to Penn Station in Manhattan.
- Buses: Multiple bus services run to the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
- Taxis/Rideshares: Available directly from the airport.

Key Considerations:
- Travel Time: LGA is often the fastest for reaching Midtown because of its proximity.
- Public Transit Access: JFK and EWR have more seamless rail connections than LGA.
- Flight Options: JFK and EWR typically offer more international and long-haul flights, while LGA focuses on domestic routes.
- Cost: Public transit from JFK and EWR is generally more cost-effective, while LGA may require a combination of bus and subway or rideshares.
